Nainital the city of lakes

Nainital, the city of lakes - My Travel Story

How was the plan for Lake City Nainital made?

The discussion was hot in our house in the scorching cold of February –

"Where to go for summer vacation???"

Everyone was presenting their opinion with great enthusiasm, after all, everyone had to have fun. Sometimes Kanyakumari and Rameshwaram, sometimes again Sikkim, sometimes Himachal and sometimes something like this. Now you must be thinking why are these people planning summer vacations in the scorching cold?

Actually, the train is limited and the trains are overcrowded, so whenever you want, you will not get the reservation in the train, the facility of making reservation four months in advance of the railways is also going to be a dilemma. Always keep this in mind in your planning, otherwise you will not get anything just by rubbing your hands.

After much deliberation, the plan was ready for Nainital. We had got the destination, it took two-three days to survey the reservation status in the train and the hotel. There was no direct train facility from here. We had to reach Kathgodam by changing the first train from Bhagalpur to Kiul and then from there to Nainital by road.

The condition of the train was such that waiting for the journey of May in February itself. We wanted four seats, but while waiting till the first week of June, I thought many times that I should cancel the plan, because the diary will be received from the children's school at the end of March which will have the details of holidays and by then the seats will be reset. was about to leave. Then I got the reservation done in Tukkah last year on the date on which the children were discharged. Incidentally, this was the only date when seats were available. Now until the children did not get the diary of the new session from the school, there was a deep suspense and thrill.

I have always been taking hotels only after reaching my destination, but last summer, hotels in Darjeeling and Gangtok cut pockets more than necessary, so this time it was already conscious not to cut pockets again. Was looking at several options Campstay, Bhimtal, Bhavali and nearby, where hotels were cheap. Luckily, we came to know about our employer's luxurious guesthouse in Nainital, so booked it in due course. But that was also not easy, the whole process was done offline and in the old way, so it took two months to tell whether we are getting the room or not. Well, all's well that ends well.

The school diary of the children was found at the end of March and just understand that the above person kept his shame. The day the train was at night was the last day of school and the next day the summer vacations were starting. Save a little. I had planned this trip differently. There is a lot of running in every journey, but in Nainital we were going to eat like a python and a rhinoceros, meaning in Nainital - "five days of fun and lethargy".

Maa Naina Devi (Temple) Darshan – Naina Devi Temple

When I woke up, it was 7 o'clock in the morning, Matashree was sitting fresh. The weather of Nainital also played a big role in the mission of “Lying like a dragon and a rhinoceros”, lying from yesterday afternoon till this morning, we defeated the python and the rhinoceros. He came out in the verandah with a bottle of water and came down and spread on a swing. One must drink 4-5 glasses of water after waking up in the morning, it has innumerable benefits.

The water bottle was empty, with the freshness of the morning sitting on the swing, the child kept looking at the sun rising from behind the mountains in front. The sun god was coming out of the mountains in front and there was darkness around Nainital and the lake below, it was a wonderful sight. Due to the light of the sun, only the upper parts of the mountains were shining. The sound of bells was coming continuously from the Nayana Devi temple on the banks of the lake, which was pleasing to the mind. There was a different attraction in the sound of the bell, sitting on the swing with eyes closed for a long time in a hypnotized state. The mind stayed on the sound of the hour. It was as if the voice was coming from inside. Then got up and kept walking in the parking lot. Both the Kumars had also woken up, both of them were running after "papa-papa". On the insistence of both of them came again on the swing and froze. While swinging, both of them were also humming something - "Jhula Jhule Nandlal", "Chhoti-Choti Gaia" sometimes something else. Even today it is getting cold, if it rains again, then you will have to buy warm clothes. We brought children's jackets and inners but did not keep our warm clothes because of not having much luggage. Children got off the swing and kept jumping in the parking lot. Seeing the luggage coming down from two cars parked in the parking lot, it is being guessed that some people have come early in the morning.

After coming to the room and getting fresh, a plan was made to go to the Naina Devi temple today to take darshan and the blessings of the mother. The children were given light fruits and biscuits, we thought of having lunch only after darshan. Guesthouse strolling at nine o'clock; Whose name was named "Kailash Parvat" by Matashree; came down from While coming down, how will you go up again? That was his concern. Although the top is not very far, the climb is quite steep. It was sunny but cold, the children were wearing jackets. If you did not have any sweaters with you, then you were suffering like this. Whenever you go to hill stations, hill stations, even if it is summer, keep a light sweater. The seasons of the mountains keep changing like the mood of Masuka.

There was also a boating point below the guest house, so the boaters started asking as soon as they came down. The children started jumping again but we first wanted to attend Mata Rani's court. We were moving towards Nayana Devi Temple from the lower road of Mall Road on the banks of the lake. Mall Road connects Mallital and Tallital. You may find these names strange, but this is the life of Nainital. The southern area with the bus stand is called Tallital, Talli means below, and Tallital means bottom pool. The northern bank is called Mallital, Malli means high. There is a road covered with beautiful trees around Naini Lake, on which the joy of walking will be different. The shops on Mall Road were just opening, so there was not much congestion.

The speeding rickshaws on the Mall Road looked charming. On some rickshaws, Gaurang is seen riding, on some newly married couples in flamboyant clothes, who have come to Nainital for honeymoon. People wearing suit-boots looked fun on the rickshaw. Let me tell you, no Oats, e-rickshaws run in Nainital. Rickshaw is the second means of commuting to and around Mall Road and the first means is Charan Singh's 11 number car. Don't understand, oh your own feet, feet. Hahaha.

On the way to the Boat House Club, we reached Pant Park Square, after seeing the board installed there, it came to know that Tibet Market, Gurudwara, Naina Devi Temple, Jama Masjid, and Udan Khatola (Ropeway) are all in Mallital. Turned from the crossroads to the temple, there was a boating point at Pant Park intersection, so the boatmen kept asking for boating. The children were uncontrollable seeing the boat in the lake all the way. On the way to the beautiful Gurudwara Sis Navaya and the temple straight through Tibet Market.

We were standing outside the gate, Shri Maa Nayana Devi Mandir was written on the gate of the temple. Matashree and Mrs. took the prasad from the prasad shops outside. After coming down from the stairs, he came to the temple courtyard and had a darshan of Mother Nayana. The temple complex is not very big and the main temple is also small. The mesmerizing views from the temple premises kept us hooked there for a long time. The kids got big fish of Nainijheel to have fun. If both the children put the offerings offered to the mother, then hundreds of big fish would have gathered to eat it. The children were engaged in this for a long time, seeing the prasad ending, mother and grandmother reprimanded, then both of them started feeding the fish by picking up the grains of prasad that had fallen around. In the race to eat their grains, the fish would gather in one place and both the Kumars would be very happy. Was feeling the intoxication and expanse of Naini Lake from here. After spending an hour in the temple, we again came out after paying obeisance to the mother.
