Manali: To boost the tourism sector in Manali that has been badly affected by the covid-19 situation from the last 2 year, Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has taken a decision to start pollution-free green economic electric bus services from Himachal famous tourist destination Manali to Rohtang Pass and newly added on this route Atal Tunnel.

Four buses will be going to start on the same route  The first bus will leave Manali at 5:45 , the second at 8:00 am while the third bus will leave Manali at 8:30 am & Last fourth at 9:00 Am The buses will halt for two hours in Rohtang Pass which is the main tourist spot during this bus journey.

Main Feature Of This Bus:-

Seat Capacity: 25 Seater.

Bus Fare: INR 600/- P.P For Both Side.  

Fuel Used:  No fuel it's charging from electricity.

Day of Service: Six days a week except for Tuesday (Due to maintenance at Rohtang Pass)

This green Electric bus service was started from Manali to Rohtang Pass two years ago in 2019 but due to the corona situation, the service was canceled during the year 2020 due to the impact of the coronavirus.

This bus service also fulfills the dream of many travelers who is not willing to pay INR 6000 / 12000 for the taxi service where there is a charge of the permit also included in this journey cost.

Rohtang La Pass is one of the highest mountain passes in India, Situated approx 51 km from Manali center of attraction mall road, it's open between the month of May To November, Rohtang pass connects Kullu valley to Lahaul Spiti & further Leh. It has been seen in Bollywood famous movies like Jab We Met & Yai Jawani Hai Diwani. If you hire a taxi for Rohtang it will take 2-4 hours to reach depends on the jam situation on this busy route, On the route near Rohtang you can see snow walls of height around 9-20 feet.

About Atal Tunnel-

The 9.02-km tunnel is that the longest highway tunnel within the world above the peak of three thousand meters.

Impact: All-year Connectivity: The Atal tunnel is that the opening move towards all-year connectivity to Ladakh. The tunnel used to link Ladakh to Manali and Chandigarh throughout the year, even in winter because it would bypass Rohtang Pass which still remains closed during winter, which is snowed in through the winter months.

Strategic: The tunnel provides a strategic advantage to the country's soldiers by providing year-long connectivity to frame areas. it'll save a whole day for troops and supplies as they move towards forwarding posts.
