  My Travel To Ladakh

Ladakh
Pangong Lake, Ladakh

An important and beautiful state "Jammu and Kashmir" in the northern side of our Indian country. The entire state is situated in the lap of the Himalayas Mountains. The summer capital of this state is Srinagar and the winter capital is "Jammu". The entire state is divided into these divisions, the first Jammu division whose main city is "Jammu", the second Kashmir division whose main city is "Srinagar", the last, and the third division is Ladakh whose main city is "Leh". If I got the good fortune of traveling to the Ladakh division of this state, then let's go through this article on my trip to Ladakh -

Going to Ladakh was no less than a dream come true for me. Been trying to go here for many years but due to no long holidays, the program could not be made. This year in 2021 we were having a good holiday in Kolkata including Durga Puja and Muharram and Lakhi Puja. So this time it was decided to go to Ladakh. We, Bengali people, start seeing red spots i.e. holidays as soon as the calendar comes at the beginning of the year. And the programs of the whole year are also decided accordingly. Since we do not go one or two people, about 35 to 40 people go, then preparations also have to be completed whether it is booking tickets or hotels. But this time for some reason only 20 people were going. It was discussed many times in our WhatsApp group Ghumkadi Dil Se for your travel-related information. Somebody from the "Ghoomkardi Dil Se (GDS)" group has gone to Ladakh by bicycle, some bike, some by plane and some by lift. Everyone had their own experience. Most of all I benefited from the experiences of Prakash ji, Devendra Kothari Ji, and Ram Bhai. The benefit of discussing in the group was that we were going to go back to Leh from Khardungla to Pangong, but the way he told through Agama, I got the benefit of a whole day as well as got to see a new place.

We decided to go in Kolkata to Delhi train and Delhi to Ladakh by plane and while coming back from Leh Kargil to Srinagar via Delhi Airplane and from Delhi to Kolkata train. Took its ticket till mid-April because the plane was getting the right fare at this time, got the Rajdhani Express ticket made for the rest of the train four months ago. During this, curfew was further imposed in Kashmir. Many people gave advice on their level. He also advised those who did not know how far Ladakh and Srinagar are. Well, we were firm on your schedule and made up our mind that if the atmosphere is not right at that time, then we will take a new ticket from Ladakh.

Our own group Dil Bole More,  Ramesh Ji helped a lot in Ladakh hotel booking and car booking. His acquaintances who were employed in some government job in Ladakh, they got this work done at a very reasonable price.

Before going to Ladakh, we thought it appropriate to inform all the friends about the inconvenience of being there, that was the Acclimatization. Since Ladakh is located at an altitude of about 13000 feet above sea level and Khardungla is about 14500 feet, this type of problem is common here. Discussed it with many friends, consulted my baba who is also a doctor and was asked by searching google baba too.

After visiting the Hall of Fame in Ladakh from day one, we headed towards Spituk Monastery, also known as Kali Mata Temple and Pethub Galdan Gumpa. situated at. There is also an army airbase camp near it, which is visible from the monastery. About 250 to 300 steps have to be climbed to reach the Monastery, but you can climb it comfortably. First comes the Monastery and then the Kali Mata Temple. Beautiful views of Leh can be seen from the temple courtyard which is situated at a height. When a gust of cold air touches you, then there is a different blissful feeling. Taking photos of the statue inside the monastery is prohibited, so you can take beautiful pictures only outside and outside.

Spituk Monastery was built by Maharaja Gras-pa-boom-lade in the late 14th century. Here in the temple, there is a giant statue of Mother Kali, about 10 feet, whose face was covered throughout the year. It is opened only on the day of the Spituk festival, which is the 26th of every Tibetan 11th month / is accompanied by statues of the Dalai Lama, Bakula Rinpoche and Shakyamuni.

Spituk Gumpa or Kali Mata Temple is as beautiful to see, as beautiful as the view of Leh from there. The friends who went with me were fond of eating Maggi and I was happy to see the beauty of nature according to my habit. Now even after coming to Leh, you have to eat food, so brother, keep sitting at home. This is the difference between a wanderer and a tourist, some stayed down for fear of climbing 300 stairs. Now, what do they know what they have lost? Let's not be there right now, be satisfied only by looking at the photo here, brother

My third stop (after the Hall of Fame and Spituk Monastery) on the first day of my trip to Ladakh was the Stok Palace or the Monastery, I would like to mention one important thing before talking about it.

The rental car available to travel in Ladakh does not run on km or day basis. Here the Tourism Office has sent a book, in which they have fixed the rate according to the place.

For example, traveling from Ladakh to Khardungla will cost Rs 4500. Ladakh Local 6 places to visit Rs 3200 etc. In this, the fare for all the places from Ladakh to Srinagar has been fixed. In the season (April to August), the drivers do not give any discount in this rate. But in the off-season, it gets a good discount. You will find this book with every driver there and in the tourism office. Ladakh is a bit expensive from the point of view of traffic, it would have been better if you have two people then you can rent a bike. So back to the Stoke Palace

Stok Place is located at a distance of about 6 km from Spitik Monastery. It falls outside the city on the way to Manali-Ladakh Highway. It was built in 1820 by Nangyal Rajbansh. Here in the present lives. And the same museum has been built in which the things related to the old kings have been kept. Tickets are available to go to the museum. Now that the kings in Rajasthan have made their palaces as hotels, why should this sahib stay behind. Lid to stay one day.

The fare is Rs 6000. But due to being away from the city, people stay less, so the cost of maintenance is being borne by putting tickets on the museum. There is no crowd in last oct and due to my press card, we got a chance to go there like this
