My Travel To Sikkim

 My Travel To Sikkim

Hot sun, hot winds, sweaty days, and hot nights of June In Delhi. while you have this hot weather, if you suddenly get a chance to go to the hill station, what will you say.

Sikkim
Sikkim
Faced with this scorching heat, suddenly there was a plan we had to walk between mountains, snow and clouds. It was just listening to the mind start flying in the clouds. The whole plan to go to Sikkim was given and My Friend had already done it. Along with him were his two friends and his family. In this way we were fourteen people including adults and children. We are reserved at Capital Express.

The train was at night. The next day at about one o'clock we got off at New Jalpai Gudi railway station. Here at the station itself, we first inquired at the tourism department. The staff there explained more about the places they will visit. In line with this, many leaflets providing information about those places are available free of charge. We had to reach Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim before. At the counter itself, we were told that the price per person for a shareholder car would be about Inr 800 To 1000 . Since there were children together, we called it NJP. I booked a tour package by paying 60 thousand to tourism and tourism agents. In this case, the travel agent had to make all the arrangements for our stay, from food and drink to the trip. Sitting in a car, we drove on from West Bengal. It was only a matter of time before rats began to jump on their stomachs. So the driver stopped the car in front of the hotel and we enjoyed our meal together. After filling our stomachs, we were now completely ready to embark on our next trip to Sikkim, the second smallest country in the world.

The Teesta River, which runs along the side of the road and shows us the way, also travelled with us, sometimes attracted by the fast-moving and sometimes slow-moving waves, and sometimes in tandem with the combination of mountainous terrain. they were lost in beauty. The natural shade was such that the camera was always on the hands all the way and the finger was on the click button of the camera. What you have to do, respectively, are such beautiful scenes coming. It seemed like I had to fill everyone in the camera with me. We were all immersed in this dream the way that when the journey begins it is very beautiful, then what will be the beauty of the place we are going to. Our first destination was Gangtok, our first destination. We got off at our hotel at 9pm. It was a bit cloudy at the time. The weather was cold again.

From yesterday evening until tonight, the body was completely exhausted from being in the car. Updated immediately. When the tap turned on, the water was as cold as ice, but thank God there was a geyser in the bathroom attached to our rooms. I came out hot and after a while I had tea and reached the hotel shelf. From there the view of the city was very good. Because of the night, not much was visible, but the electric light bulbs in the mountains looked like the stars were shining in the mountains after it came down from the sky. Meanwhile, the hotel manager said that permission must be given for his departure tomorrow. And that requires all the images of people. We had a photo session at the hotel itself. Then I send a copy of everyone's ID photo to the hotel stop.

By then it was almost ten o'clock and we arrived at the hotel bar for dinner. The hotel told us about the trip tomorrow and said it would be ready at 8am tomorrow. The next day there was a Nathula Pass program on the India-China border. We had to get up early and we were all tired, so as soon as we got to our proper rooms, we hid in a hole.

The next morning we were ready for the scheduled time, flying through the mountains with the clouds. As soon as the car arrived, he boarded it and set off on his exciting journey on a rocky mountain road to Nathula. Nathula Pass is a famous mountain range in the Himalayas. At an altitude of 14,200 feet. It was closed in 1962 AD after the war between India and China. It reopened on 5 July 2021.

As we made our way here, high mountain valleys were visible along the way. The tall, lush green forests provided a contrast to the eyes. Our truck climbed the mountain through forests, waterfalls, and clouds. When I looked down at the valleys above, I could see clouds floating. A similar incident in which a person sitting on a plane looked down. It is very difficult to describe that beautiful moment with that perspective. By the time I graduated, I had learned in Geography that as we go up the temperature drops. Today you also have the opportunity to see for yourself. It was very cold. In the middle, the driver stopped the car in one place. To avoid this cold, a jacket, hat, and so on had to be taken. Everything is available for hire here. Until then it was called tea.

It was also necessary to give them warmth. That is why everyone drank hot tea in this cold state. After stopping for about half an hour, they set off on their journey. There has been a huge climb all the way. In some cases road maintenance was still in progress.

After a long journey of about five hours, we finally reached Nathula at one o'clock. The car stopped below. Now we had to climb stairs by about 128 and up.

Slowly we completed our ascent on foot. White mountains covered with snow all around, clouds floating like cotton wool beneath them, cold winds, cold hands shaking, hot air coming out of the mouth, a new feeling, a different feeling. The situation here was very different from Delhi's current climate.

By this time, we were all tired, but we also started to breathe at such a high point, but as soon as we saw our country's soldiers standing ready or in an inaccessible place, our fatigue also flew away. Not only in his homeland, Chinese troops across the border were also patrolling the country. When I saw them, I saw that the real work was being done by these soldiers stationed at the country's borders.

Never think of yourself even in the cold and snowy conditions. For them, the world comes first, even if their lives are in danger. So for the first time, one of the soldiers in the army who was present said thank you for shaking hands.

India on the one hand and China on the other, a small iron fence in the middle. But in this little wire the power is so great that no one can go from here to there. No one dares to cross it. After observing the natural beauty of the area, seeing the Indian Army defending the border very close, we returned to Gangtok.

On his way back from the road, a car stopped near the temple at a distance of 13000 meters between Nathula Pass and Jellepla Pass. Built in memory of an Indian soldier. It is said that Harbhajan Singh, a native of Kuka, Punjab, joined the Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army in 1966.

Two years later, in 1968, he died after crossing a river near Nathula Pass. Later, several Indian Army soldiers claimed that Harbhajan had given them many important details related to the Chinese. The militants believe that Harbhajan's soul acts as a mediator between India and China. He warns the army of both countries from time to time. So that the situation does not get worse. Now whether some people believe this belief or not, but the Chinese military also agrees on this issue.

That is why, at the flag-meeting meeting between India and China, an additional Harbhajan seat is added. In view of his faith in the people, in 1987 a temple was built in his memory, named after Father Harbhajan Mandir. Even today, they have a bed here at night, where the folders seem to lie down in the morning. Even today the army gives both their position and promotion. It sounds strange to know this. The mind said that such a superstition even in books related to the defense of the world? But these things awakened faith in my heart. As we talked about these things related to faith and faith, our car opened up there.

They arrived in Gangtok until six o'clock in the evening, stopping at waterfalls on the road, having fun, battling cold winds, and collecting memories of the camera. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we found a hot chowmin and tea. It was seven o'clock after eating and drinking like this.

After that we all started visiting Gangtok. The local market here is MG. in relation to the road. It was nice to see. Maybe such a market would be in our Delhi again, so how good would it look. It is far from evil. Many shops are nearby, tiles lined the road, littered with flowers and plants, and water gushing from their fountain. There is no trace of spitting and litter anywhere. A statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was also included. This area was limited to pedestrians, so even small cars such as bicycles or cycles were not used here. This felt better. Away from the smoke and noise of these cars, we enjoyed traveling and shopping here completely free. The children were also involved in creating ruckus here and there of their own free will.

In that case, I remember the markets of my hometown, where even on a narrow street, a cyclist comes out and beats the waves with great speed, and when he returns, he disappears. That is why everyone enjoys a lifetime here. While marketing was taking place, eating ice cream was a no-brainer. When I took out my cell phone, it was ten o'clock in the morning. After arriving at the hotel, we ate our lunch and went to bed.

The next day our place is facing zero. However, our stop in the middle was Lachung, where we had to sleep and climb up the snowy mountains the next morning. Roads here are also not available. Elsewhere, rocks fall on mountains, and in other places, springs of water on the sharp edge. When all the children fell on top of the cars, all the children put their hands out the window to feel the coolness of that cold torrent. Roaming from the top and hitting the rocks, as the water fell to the ground with its invincible speed, its sound was heard from afar. Along with the fear, there was also fun. A new sense of life, you are in a new state. This was an opportunity to see nature up close.

The distance from Gangtok to Lachung is about 125 kilometers, while on the trip, if you feel hungry in the middle, stop in one place and break the chicken rice. After a five-hour drive, our car stopped in Lachung. When I got out of the car, the mountains were all around me.

The lush greenness of the trees in it seemed overwhelming. Here some women welcomed us outside the hotel and took us to our room. The sight of this wooden hotel was astonishing at first, even the wooden rooms.

When you were asked, you were told it was a cold and mountainous region, fine. There was an Indian army barracks in front of the hotel. Just across the street was his can, where four or five soldiers were standing eating momos, talking to each other as they shook hands with the burning wood outside. After talking to them, it was discovered that along with the security services, there is also a civilian bar, where most items can be purchased at low prices. It was then that, after ordering the momos, we headed to the bar. But there were not many things there. The soldier said that most of the supplies would arrive in a day or two. There, buying track suits, biscuits, Chyawanprash etc is very expensive, back to eating momos.

It was getting late and the cold was getting worse. So we arrived at the hotel with lots of plates of momos and everyone enjoyed the bitter momos called the famous food here. This meal reminded me of my college days. While reading the media, we had a lot of fun while eating momos at a group of friends on Boring Road.

To eat it, sometimes he would release a packet of love and sometimes he would take a senseless party from Aarti. While Ram ji often spat at Thakur while eating, our momos fell to the ground in the controversy. Everyone was going to hold his stomach laughing. Dolly Ki Doli was also named after the sentence while eating the momos with the intention of making fun of the person. Then something else. My eyes filled with those sweet memories as I ate the hot momos. Di realized that it was too hot and put on a glass of water. Now tell them that these tears are some of those memories that are not created now. Momos had cried for me at the time, but as soon as she behaved herself and walked out. He saw in the store at the hotel a woman making a pin and the driver of our car hitting an anchor on the anchor. Please note that due to the cold climate, these items are tax-free here. That is why the price of bottles here was so low. When a cup of tea was worth twenty rupees, then a pinch of thirty. Now the night was getting dark and we all sat in the room and were busy gossiping about these things here and there. In fact, Lachung is a town located in the region of Sikkim, in the northern region of North Sikkim, bordering Tibet, China. It is located at the confluence of the two rivers Lachen and Lachung. Both rivers continue to join the Teesta. Lachung is at an altitude of 9,600 feet. A river flowed behind the hotel, with the sound of waves crashing into our rooms. In the stillness of the night, the raging sound of the waves seemed terrifying.

The next day we left for Zero Point via Yumthang Valley and Yumsangdang. Yumthang is 24 kilometers ahead of Lachung. Outside is Yumsangdang, followed by a zero point, located at an altitude of 14,300 feet. The road ends here only when it is zero. Like Nathula, when we left Lachung, we were fully prepared to climb a snowy hill wearing coats, boots, and so on. But it was still cold. Many pine trees were found along the way. On the side of the branch grew small yellow and red leaves. It looks very nice from a distance. It was as if Christmas day had arrived. We began to think that a plant bought at a kindergarten for two hundred dollars to enhance the beauty of the terrace of his house, here is his forest. It is a small plant because it is in a pot, but there are very big and big trees here.

Later, as they climbed further, the forest of trees was gone and small trees began to be found. In addition, many flowering plants began to appear. From a distance, the whole valley looked pink. Because of these flowers, Yumthang Valley is also known as the Valley of Flowers and Eastern Switzerland. There is a hot spring near it. As we have in Rajgir of Bihar. Sulfur dissolves in water here, a bath that removes skin-related diseases. Similarly, zero point reached in the end. I could not believe that I was standing at such a high place.

A white sheet of snow around, the sky is completely green with clouds flying below. But here he cannot run very fast or shout because his body is not getting enough oxygen at this stage. Many visitors who had already arrived on the ice enjoyed themselves. Since it was very cold and we had left Lachung without food, we began to stay in the temporary store that was there.

To see here, rum, beer, whiskey, busy Bee were all stored together with water bottles, cold drinks and tea. The girl in charge of the store was fulfilling everyone's wishes very quickly. After sitting for a while drinking Maggi, butter bread and hot tea, we headed for the ice. For about an hour, we also made a lot of skipping there. Sometimes they climb up and fall into the snow and slide, down. Sometimes we make snowballs and hit hard. While doing this, he was getting very tired and breathing was also happening, still who cares. Where do you get this fun-filled opportunity over and over again? Everyone took pictures of themselves in their own style and style. The beauty when it was seen. But now we had to return to Gangtok. So, amid the cold winds, he left his mark on the ice ridge and returned to Lachung.

Having eaten food in Lachung and after packing their belongings, they also left bye-bye to the girls and women of the hotel, who took special care of everything from our food and drink and also gave information about the places here.

Landed in Gangtok in the night and then got busy in packing his belongings. The very next day we had to return back to Delhi. That night was our last night in Sikkim. When I went to bed, I could not even sleep early. Perhaps in these few days, there has been some emotional attachment with this city. The next morning, when he started leaving from here sitting in the car, the big trees on the side of the road, which had been recognized for a few days, were shaking their branches as if inviting them to come again. Looking at them, a voice also came out of this heart that if I get a chance in life, I will meet again with this city. Till then, take only the bundle of memories of these few days and return to Delhi.
